RUTO SUBJECTED US TO TOO MUCH SUFFERING – NDINDI NYORO FINALLY REVEALS

Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has recounted how President William Ruto subjected government officials to much “suffering” during last week’s retreat at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club in Laikipia County.

The retreat was attended by Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries, alongside elected leaders from Kenya Kwanza Alliance serving in various parliamentary committees among other senior officials in the government.

Speaking during an interdenominational service at Nanyuki Stadium on Sunday, Mr Nyoro, who is a close ally to the head of state, hilariously claimed that the president subjected them to “severe pain” due to his dedication in serving the country.

“Gazeti ya leo nimeona inasema ile retreat imekuwa hapa inasema umetuumiza sana kama watu ya serikali. Mheshimiwa rais niruhusu tu nitubu, ya kwamba ukweli umetuumiza sana katika hiyo retreat. (There is a story in today’s newspaper of how much suffering you subjected us to during the retreat. Your Excellency, allow me to admit, we really had very difficult moments,” Mr Nyoro said amid laughter during the service that was also attended by the president.

The MP further explained that when people hear of retreats they think government officials assigned various roles go for fun but the first Kenya Kwanza Alliance retreat was anything but that.

“Allow me to apologize for spilling the beans,” Nyoro was quick to add, while praising President Ruto for his diligence in running the government.

The legislator also lauded being a stickler for time and for his keen eye for detail.

“Wewe ukisema mkutano ni ya saa moja asubuhi, tunakuwa hapo by saa kumi na mbili asubuhi. Kwa sababu wewe unakuwa hapo even before us. (If you set a meeting for 7am, everyone has show to up at 6am, because you’ll be there much earlier),” Nyoro said.

Mr Nyoro, who is also the chair Parliamentary Budget Committee, assured the head of state of his commitment to effectively execute his duties.
