MEET A 9 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO HELPED HER MOM DELIVER A BABY

A nine year old girl by the name Aakayla Gunnhas caught netizens attention after her mom reported that she helped her while she was in labour. According to a post shared by a local media house, the mother went into an early labour and her husband was not around. Upon contacting the husband, he claimed that he was stuck in a traffic.

This forced Aakayla’s mother to ask her nine year old to assist in delivery. However, Aakayla was too scared to look.

“I screamed for Aakayla to come in, I was just like, ‘You have to look. Something’s happening. Is her head coming out?’ And she’s like, ‘I can’t look.’ And I’m like, ‘You have to,’” said the mom.

Aakyala revealed that she is a nurse at st Luke south hospital therefore, she knew what she was supposed to do. With two pushes the baby was out. She was weighing 3.2kg. Aakyala grabbed a towel, wrapped the baby and handed her over to the nurse mom.

Aakyala received praises after her dad made a post on social media.

“We may have a doctor on our hands. Already delivering babies at 9! Let’s go, Aakayla!” said her father.
