MT KENYA TO PRODUCE THE NEXT PRESIDENT, BAD NEWS TO RUTO AND RAILA

National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, who is also eyeing the presidency on a Democratic Party ticket, says nothing stops the Mt. Kenya region from producing another Head of State to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 9th general election.

Speaker Muturi, who was addressing grassroots leaders from Thika, Kiambu County, challenged the region’s electorate to demand more than a running mate’s slot from the presidential aspirants.

He particularly pointed on Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga who are perceived frontrunners in what has been dubbed a two-horse race.

My point is you must be on the table negotiating for your region, but not on the table as part of the menu.”
