Mumias East MP Peter Salasya is a man of the people, whether he is in parliament or outside parliament.

The MP became an internet sensation after capturing the parliamentary seat in the August 9 general elections.

The MP today took to his social media while sharing a light moment with Baringo women’s rep Florence Jematia. The jovial Salasya donned a grey suit while Jematia donned a blue outfit.

Speaking in an exclusive interview recently with a local media house, the United Democratic Alliance party member of parliament revealed how she struggled with life when she was still young.

Jematia revealed that her marriage came to an end the moment she was selected as a member of the East African Legislative Assembly. She had to part ways with her husband, after which they settled on co-parenting.

According to Jematia, her being in politics contributed to her breakup; at the same time, she revealed that there were several other misunderstandings that made them cut ties.
