DRAMA AS RUTO’S CLOSE REPRESENTATIVE IS CHASED AWAY FROM DEVOLUTION CONFERENCE

The emissary charged with representing Deputy President William Ruto at the closing ceremony of the 7th Devolution Conference was turned away by governors who faulted the DP for being disrespectful.

Ruto had been slated to preside over the closing ceremony of the event held in Makueni county on Friday, November 26.

However, the deputy president snubbed the event, instead sending his Chief of Staff Ken Osinde to represent him.

Osinde was stopped from presenting Rut’s speech, the governors saying “the event is an international one and not everyone can preside over the closing ceremony”.

“We expected the DP to attend and preside over the closing ceremony. As governors, we consider this to be an international event and not every person can execute such an important function,” said Governor Wycliffe Oparanya of Kakamega.
