THE PERSON TO REPLACE KINOTI REVEALED

The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has shortlisted ten (10) candidates for the position of Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).

The 10 candidates, each of whom seek to fill the vacant position left by former DCI Director George Kinoti, have been invited for interviews and vetting on Tuesday, October 11 2022, at Kenya School of Government, lower Kabete in Nairobi.

Consequently, the NPSC Chairperson Eliud Kinuthia has invited the public to submit credible written memorandum on any of the candidates.

More than 160 Kenyans applied for the position, with the window for application opened between September 29 and October 6 2022.
Assistant Inspector-General of Police King’ori Mwangi, Railways DCI boss Wanderi Mwangi and DCI Head of Planning Nicholas Kamwende are among those who applied for the position.

Others are the Director of DCI reforms Eliud Langat, Director of DCI’s Internal affairs Unit Mohamed Amin and Principal Assistant to the Inspector General of Police Munga Nyale.

Massa Hamisi Salim is the acting DCI boss.
