THIS IS WHAT WILLIAM RUTO WILL BE DOING IN UK FOR 3 DAYS

Deputy President William Ruto began his three-day visit to the United Kingdom on Sunday, just a day after wrapping up his trip to the United States.

The presidential candidate for 2022 was welcomed by Kenya’s High Commissioner to the UK, Manoah Esipisu ahead of his jam-packed three-day schedule, beginning with private bilateral consultations with the British government.

DP Ruto and his delegation will visit the Whitehall and parliament, as well as engage policymakers, business leaders, and the Kenyan diaspora in the United Kingdom, according to a statement from his campaign secretariat.

“Highlights of his public engagements include a conversation with the Archbishop of Canterbury and a Marlborough Peace Dialogues keynote speech at the Commonwealth Secretariat,” the statement reads in part.

Despite the controversy surrounding DP Ruto’s visit to the White House, the statement maintained that the visit was legitimate.

“The WR Presidential Campaign registers our appreciation to the government of the United States of America for the time, courtesies and support afforded to Deputy President William Ruto, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi and our entire delegation during the visit to the U.S,” the statement reads.

“We thank Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Mary Catherine “Molly” Pheeand National Security Council (NSC) Senior Director for Africa Dana Banks and their teams for hosting Dr. Ruto and his delegation at the State Department and at the White House, respectively,”

DP Ruto is accompanied on his 10-day tour of the US and UK by among others, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Narok Governor Josphat Nanok, his Kwale counterpart Governor Salim Mvuryan and Kirinyaya’s Anne Waigiru.

Senators in the brigade are Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Elgeyo Marakwet, Uasin Gishu. Others are, Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu), Kimani Ichungw’a (Kikuyu) Alice Wahome.

Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, Kilifi North’s Owen Baya, Soipan Tuya (Narok), Vihiga Woman Representative Beatrice Adagala, as well as aides & support staff from Office of Deputy President will also be on the trip.
