PRESIDENT UHURU’S ALLY FORCED TO DELETE FACEBOOK POST AFTER HE WAS BEATEN ONLINE

On Tuesday, nearly the whole country was thrown into total black out after a high voltage power line collapsed in Embakasi Nairobi.

It is a blackout that took some hours to be restored, causing panic and speculations among consumers. While KPLC did much to update on the same, some Kenyans could not be patient and wait for the company to restore things back to normalcy.

Among those who came out to speak about the unexpected blackout included President Uhuru Kenyatta’s close ally and blogger Polycarp Hinga.

The Jubilee and Azimio La Umoja allied man, without taking time to fact check, went ahead to blame Deputy President William Ruto’s man and former Energy CS Charles Keter saying he was concentrating on UDA campaigns while the country is in a blackout.

His Facebook post was, however, met with fierce reactions, with netizens castigating him of dragging Keter’s name when the CS had left Energy many months ago into Devolution docket.

Realizing his mess, the blogger hurriedly deleted his post, which could have caused him more embarrassments, with Kenyans questioning on how he can fail to recall that Keter had been transferred despite being close to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

This comes just a day after CS Keter, while attending UDA’s rally in Kericho town, announced that he was in Ruto’s UDA party and is supporting the DP’s 2022 presidency. He is, however, yet to announce the post he will vie for in 2022.

By 5Pm on Tuesday evening, Kenya Power announced they had restored power supply in most parts of the country except for a few areas including Garissa, Mwingi and Kitui.
