IS CURFEW ENDING?

“Curfew” has been trending on Twitter for the last couple of hours, with a section of netizens questioning why there has been no announcement yet the 60 days have elapsed.

However, contrary to this assumption, curfew does not end tonight. The current containment measures were announced by President Uhuru on August 18 and will therefore end on October 19.

The directive that expired today was one issued by CS Kagwe on July 30th.

This has elicited reactions online with a section of netizens complaining it’s time the curfew ban is lifted.
