EXPOSED: WHAT DP RUTO DID DURING AZIMIO LA UMOJA CONVENTION

A photo being circulated on social media claiming that DP William Ruto was following the Azimio la Umoja Convention at the Kasarani International Stadium is fake.

Well, during the much-awaited event that attracted thousands of ODM party leader Raila Odinga supporters, Raila declared his candidature for presidency come August 2022 general election.

During the day, a photo claiming to be from the DP was shared, which has been verified by the fact-checker to be propaganda.

According to the doctored image, the DP was standing in his office watching Raila as he entered the stadium.

On the same day, Ruto was not in his office as claimed, but had joined worshippers at the Christian Church International (CCI), Osasimwa ground in Olorropil, Narok County for a church service.

Also, the verification tools show that the original photo was uploaded to social media on July 21, 2020.

The photo was posted on Twitter by K24 television during the Punchline segment when Ruto was being interviewed by Anne Kiguta.

Before the interview at then, Ruto was watching the 9pm news when former Auditor General Edward Ouko was on the screen.

Also, in the doctored image, the tv in front of the DP is bigger compared to the one in the original photo.

Ruto has been a great critic of Raila and him being able to take his time at the moment when he should be doing his recent role of campaigning is far-fetched.
