5 RUTO MEN WHO FORCED RAILA TO CALL OFF DEMOS

Details have now emerged on what conspired shortly before Raila Odinga accepted to call off weekly demonstrations across the country.

According to sources who spoke to Standard Digital on May Sunday 21, the Head of State, Dr William Ruto had assigned the now former NIS boss Mr Kameru to push Raila to stop the demonstrations.

After Kameru’s efforts to stop Azimio leadership led by Raila to stop the demos were proven futile, the president turned his back on him and resorted to a new strategy.

President Ruto then picked five men drawn from the Intelligence Service including the current Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji for the same task.

The five men did an exemplary work that reportedly melted the president’s heart after they managed to convince Raila to call off demos and settle on dialogue.

On that regard, Mr Haji who was reportedly the leader of the five men warmed himself into the president’s heart, which according to sources led to his appointment as the new NIS Director General.

Mr Haji is expected to be sworn in officially after being grilled at Parliament on May 30th.
