WHY BONI KHALWALE IS NOT DIRECTLY CAMPAIGNING FOR RUTO.
Former Ikolomani member of parliament Boni Khalwale has proven beyond reasonable doubts that his heart is fully in Raila Odinga’s Azimio coalition as opposed to Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza.
On Tuesday while addressing Kakamega residents, Boni Khalwale played safe by not directly campaigning for Kenya Kwanzaa candidate Cleophas Malala for the gubernatorial seat.
Instead, the bullfighter told the residents that there would be nothing wrong if Ferdinand Barasa of ODM was elected to take over the leadership from the outgoing governor Wyckliffe Oparanya.
Khalwale argued that it would perfectly be okay if Barasa of ODM got the seat come 9th August 2022 because he will lead everyone.
Besides, the bullfighter on several occasions has been avoiding William Ruto’s name as he traverses the region because Ruto’s opponent Raila Odinga enjoys massive support in Kakamega and Khalwale being a smart politician knows that it will cost him the senate seat.
According to sources close to Boni, selling Ruto in Kakamega has been like selling Pork in saudi Arabia because despite hundreds of rallies in the region, the deputy president is not making any meaningful progress in the arae.
The bullfighter’s rally on Tuesday in Kakamega left many wondering why he was advocating for Ferdinand Barasa to be elected instead of directly campaigning for Ruto’s candidate Cleophas Malala.
K24 News has since established that Kenya Kwanza’s hate narrative against the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate is not selling in Kakamega region and that Ruto’s pointmen are finding it difficult to succeed in a region where all the members of parliament are now backing Raila Odinga.
Some of these members of parliament defected from Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress (ANC) party after he joined UDA at the Bomas of Kenya.
They included Lugari member of parliament Ayud Savula, Butere member of parliament Tindi Mwale, Khwisero Member of Parliament Christopher Aseka, Lurambi member of parliament Titus Khamala, Matungu member of parliament Oscar Nabulindo amongst others.
While defecting from Musalia’s ANC party, these leaders argued that Mudavadi crossed to Ruto’s side because of his stomach and that they were not ready to justify his greed by accompanying him to Kenya Kwanza.
