Ruto Sends Early Morning Message to Raila

The Head of State Dr William Ruto has broken his silence regarding the State Banquet he hosted at State House in honour of the United Kingdom King, Charles III and Queen, Camilla.

In a statement on X, the President confirmed his presence and how the event that was attended by other senior leaders across the country was ongoing.

To the surprise of many Kenyans, Ruto shared photos of the opposition boss Raila Odinga who was part of the powerful politicos who attended the State banquet.

Earlier reports indicated that the former Prime Minister was in company of the National Assembly Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi when he arrived at State House.

He later met with his Majesty King Charles III in the presence of Ruto during the event. Even though he did not address the leaders, Raila dined with all leaders including those affiliated to the Kenya Kwanza wing.

Meanwhile, Ruto acknowledged that the visit of king Charles and his spouse is a symbol of the many accomplishments achieved between Kenya and the UK.

“The visit by His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla is a showcase of the immense accomplishments achieved by Kenya and the United Kingdom during six decades of strong, dynamic and fruitful bilateral relations,” he said.
