In preparation for the upcoming general elections, candidates for various elective seats have begun forming alliances with popular parties and alliances in order to increase their chances of winning an elective seat.
Muhia, an important leader in the Mount Kenya Kieleweke movement and a close friend of Uhuru Kenyatta, has now joined UDA, the party of Deputy President William Ruto.
Besides stating that he will run for the Nyandarua senatorial seat, he also said that he heard the voices of his constituents who decided to join DP Ruto’s UDA party.
UDA party leader Kipchumba Murkomen of Elgeiyo Marakwet welcomed Mutheu to the party on Twitter.
Murkomen noted that the party is receiving young, energetic, and committed individuals who are making the right choice in joining the UDA party.
