MIKE SONKO APOLOGIZES FOR KILLING CHARLES NJONJO

Former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has in a regretful tone apologized for killing former attorney General Charles Njonjo  online.

According to Mike Sonko, he was misled by one Salim Lone, a close friend of Charles Njonjo who was amongst the first people to kill him online.

“I Sincerely wish to apologise to the family of the former AG Charles Njonjo and Kenyans in general for the misleading information that Charles had gone to be with the Lord. However I learnt the same from a Mr. Salim Lone who is a close friend of Charles Njonjo but who has since apologized to the Njonjo’s family and the public for the misleading information through his below tweet. Charles may you live longer than your current age. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.” Wrote Mike Sonko.

At the same time, Salim Lone also came out and regretted for sending the former attorney general to be with the Lord before his actual day.

“I feel truly awful. I posted comments an hour ago about my dear friend Mr. Charles Njonjo and his passing an hour ago. It seems that i was totally wrong. Its pointless to state that numerous news sites and others etc carried the news, I should have checked further. I fee very ashamed and offer sincerest apologies to all who were misled by my post.”

The immediate family of Kenya’s first attorney general Charles Njonjo on Sunday morning came out guns blazing to deny the reports which declared him dead.

As a result, the family of the former attorney general described the death rumors as the greatest exaggeration, adding that he was enjoying sweet moments at his home.

“Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. I am well and enjoying my weekend at home as we celebrate Utamaduni Day,” read the statement.
