The top 2022 presidential aspirants Deputy President William Ruto and his nemesis Raila Odinga have been using varying strategies to bag Mt Kenya region ahead of the elections which takes place in flew months time.

ODM leader Raila Odinga would win the presidential elections if the polls are held today beating Deputy President William Ruto but with a minimum margin, a poll has shown.


The survey, which was conducted between 17 September and 21 December, said Raila’s popularity stood at 33 per cent while that of Ruto was at 32 per cent.


On the other hand the United Democratic Alliance led by DP Ruto is the most popular  with 33% followed by Raila’s ODN party with 32%.

The ODM boss would defeat the second in command in all the other regions; North Eastern (33%), Western(38%), Nyanza (57%) and Coast (48%).


On the hand the DP is only leading in Eastern (39%), Central (42%) Rift valley (42%) and Nairobi (32%)
