GOVT STARTS THE PLAN OF ABOLISHING CBC
Today, the deputy president of Kenya hon Rigathi Gachagua held an interview with a group of journalists from various media stations at his official residence in Nairiobi county.
It was during this interview when Gachagua was asked on the goverment stand on Competency Based Curriculum, CBC.
Responding to this question, Gachagua started by saying that this curriculum has alot of problems.
However, Gachagua said that the government has decided that they are not going to abolish this curriculum. Instead, Gachagua said that the government is going to reform some of the parts of CBC.
He also said that some of the recommendations from the presidential working party on education are being implemented by the CBC.
Journalist went ahead to ask Gachagua why they had promised the people of Kenya that they will abolish CBC.
On this, Gachagua said that during campaigns, experts in education had advised them to do so but after taking over the goverment, they saw some good things in cbc and only few bad ones need to be rectified.
