DETAILS LEAKS: WHO IS BEHIND SAKAJA’S DEGREE REVOCATION

A former student at Team University in Uganda has disowned Senator Johnson Sakaja saying he was not part of their class.

In an exclusive interview carried out by a Ugandan New Vision, the former student who was in 2016 class said he never saw, met or heard of the name Johnson Sakaja the entire period he was at Team University doing his undergraduate studies.

At that time, his class had only six learners taking classes physically and not online. In fact the institution had not launched online learning programme as claimed by Sakaja and his lawyers.

“We didn’t have online studies at the time and when we graduated on October 21, 2016, we were only six students. I know all of them because we are classmates,” noted the student.

This new twist, further complicates Senator Sakaja’s quest for clearance to vie for the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat.

Sakaja recently told the Commission for University Education CUE as well as Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission that he graduated from the university; a clear departure from his earlier claims that he took Actuarial Science at the prestigious Nairobi University.

According to Uganda’s National Council of Higher Education NCHE which is an equivalent of Kenya’s CUE, investigations into Sakaja’s academic fraud is ongoing and at its advanced stage.
