BREAKING NEWS: TRAIN OPERATIONS SUSPENDED

The Kenya Railways Corporation has announced the scaling down of services by the Nairobi commuter rail during the festive season.

According to the corporation, services to Ruiru, Embakasi Village, Limuru, Syokimau and Lukenya have been suspended from Tuesday, December 28 to Sunday, January 2.

“Normal commuter operations will resume on January 3rd 2022,” reads a notice shared by Kenya Railways on Twitter.

The carrier meanwhile noted that the Nairobi-Mombasa Madaraka Express train service is still operational daily.

Its Nairobi-Suswa counterpart is on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Service between the Nairobi Central station and the Nairobi Terminus will also still run everyday at 6:30 a.m, 12 p.m and and 8:10 p.m, as well as the Nanyuki-Nairobi and Nairobi-Kisumu Safari trains on Fridays and Sundays.
