ANGRY RESIDENTS RAIDS MP’S HOME.

Angry residents have raided MPs home. Police in Ugenya constituency are investigating an attempt by angry residents to raid area MP David Ochieng’s home in protest of his move to Kenya Kwanza.

Ochieng’, who is the party leader for Movement for Democracy and Growth (MDG) decamped to the Kenya Kwanza coalition a few days ago saying the outfit’s vision for Kenya aligns with Kenya Kwanza’s manifesto.

In a report by the Daily Nation, sub-county police commander Bernard Wamugunda said investigations into the incident had commenced.

Police repulsed the youths who attempted to break into his home just moments after another group of residents broke into the constituency’s office.

Ugenya residents blasts MP for Kenya Kwanza move
TUKO.co.ke reported residents of Ugenya constituency protested a move by their MP David Ochieng’ to join Kenya Kwanza.

Immediately after the lawmaker announced his decision, peaceful protests were reported in different parts of the constituency.

Most of them stated that the MP’s decision was formed out of his own interest and not the electorate.

Esther Atieno Onyango, one of the residents, said they would not follow Ochieng into the Ruto-led outfit, adding that the decision was the beginning of his political demise.

“What David has done by taking us to Ruto is a big mistake. Why are you auctioning us off to Ruto? We can’t allow it),” she stated.
