THIS IS BIG: PRESIDENT RUTO GIVES MUTYAMBAI A NEW ROLE

Police Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai has been appointed to a new role in the police department according to reliable sources.

Mutyambai has been serving as the police boss for the past 3 years after he was appointed as police IG by former president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2019.

On Friday, September 16, 2022 IG Mutyambai has been now designated to a new role. Mutyambai will now be the Accounting Officer of the National Police Service.

The IG was designated by the Treasury department with orders from the President. His new appointment comes barely a month after he appointed his Deputy Noor to take over as he took a medical break.

The IG had allegedly collapsed at his home and was rushed to the hospital where he has been recuperating. According to unverified reports, the IG is set to travel outside the country for specialized treatment once he is stable.
