20 YEAR OLD SHAKILLA TO VIE FOR NAIROBI WOMAN REP

Internet sensation Shakilla has announced that she will be vying for the Nairobi Woman Representative post ahead of the August 9 polls.

Taking to Instagram, the 20-year-old says her move was inspired by other personalities who have also declared interest in various elective posts.

“Since everyone is applying for a political seat, I might as well vie for Nairobi Woman Representative,” she wrote.

Her sentiments come days after a couple of instafamous women launched their bid for various positions.

Among them is Maria actress Dorea Chege who is eying Nairobi Woman Rep seat alongside Nairobi Diaries actress Ali Iptisam Zeid.

Media personality Mary Njambi Koikai alias Fyah Mummah also announced that she will be vying for the Dagoretti South parliamentary seat as an independent candidate.

Taking to social media, the radio host shared a poster that accompanied a long caption detailing her manifesto.
