RUTO ISSUES NEW DEMANDS TO PRESIDENT UHURU AND RAILA ODINGA

Deputy President William Ruto is yet to suspend his tirades on the proponents of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) after the constitutional amendment bill was quashed by the courts.

He indirectly slammed President Uhuru Kenyatta, ODM leader Raila Odinga and other proponents of the BBI for forcing the bill on Kenyans at the expense of the big four agenda.

Speaking on Thursday at his Karen residence, Ruto called on the president alongside his allies to apologise for shelving the government’s initial agenda for Kenyans and instead pursuing BBI.

“We demand an apology from those who pushed BBI on us. We demand an apology from them because they sabotage the big four plan that was supposed to create millions of jobs for ordinary people, create a universal health coverage that would benefit millions of women and children,” said Ruto.

“They sabotaged the whole food investment strategy that would benefit many farmers and create opportunities for them to access markets,” he added.
