President Obasanjo Arrives in Kenya

Former Foreign President has landed in the country and is set to facilitate talks between Ruto and Raila in the bipartisan talks at the Bomas of Kenya which had been announced will start today at 11:30am.

Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has landed in the country and will be facilitating Kenya Kwanza – Azimio talks according to the information shared by People Daily.

It should be noted that the Kenya Kwanza side had insisted that they did not want the former President to mediate the talks as the country was not in a crisis to warrant an international mediator.

It should be noted also that the Azimio camp is being led by former Vice President and Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka while Kenya Kwanza side is being led by Kikuyu MP and Majority Leader in the National Assembly Kimani Ichungwah.

Raila had warned that should the talks not bear fruits, he will call for fresh demos starting from next month.
