A Kenyan senator has advocated for the use of marijuana. Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has intensified his call to have bhang/marijuana legalized in Kenya.
The firebrand Narok senator has released another video after sharing the first video standing in the middle of a farm full of marijuana while in Lithuania.
This time around, Ledama is trying to get answers on why weeds are essential in human consumption.
The senator is pushing for the law to be amended to legalize cannabis for medicinal purposes.
”Let me give you something to talk about today away from Covid and the other bigger Covid:- Kenyan Politics! Let’s legalize it!”
In the first video he shared, he said, ”If this is good to reduce the pain in cancer patients, why don’t you legalese it? What is so bad about it? We only live once.”
The late Kibra MP Ken Okoth had championed the legalization of bhang.
Okoth had tabled the Marijuana Control Bill in 2018 to decriminalize marijuana.
