KALONZO SWITCHES POLITICAL STAND AFTER MISSING RAILA’S RALLY

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has finally explained why he missed the Azimio One Kenya mega rally at Kamukunji on Tuesday. He also revealed his stance on supporting Azimio’s resolution at the public meeting.

Kalonzo now states that he fully supports Azimio and clarifies that he was abroad on duty to bring peace to Sudan. The overseas trip made it impossible for him to attend the rally led by Raila in Nairobi. However, he indicates that he will attend the upcoming rally.

Kalonzo’s absence at the Kamukunji rally, where former Prime Minister Raila Odinga announced new measures against President William Ruto, was acknowledged during the event. His allies indicated that he was not available.

On Tuesday, June 27, the former Prime Minister, along with his co-principals, threatened to collect 1 million signatures with the aim of overturning what the coalition deemed as punitive policies from President William Ruto’s government.

Ruto’s allies on Wednesday criticized Azimio for advocating civil disobedience. They also threatened to withdraw pension schemes benefiting Raila and former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
