GOVT JOB RUTO SILENTLY OFFERED MP JALANG’O

President William Ruto is trying to use the Luo Nyanza MPs who recently visited him in State House to achieve some political goals, it is now emerging.

It is emerging that he has since formed a caucus of Luo Nyanza MPs, made up of some of the nine, which he intends to use to get some footing in the region. The caucus, the Daily Nation has established, has been christened the ‘Anti-Raila liberation group’, which intends to displace ODM leader Raila Odinga as the Luo Nyanza political kingpin. It is to be chaired by Bondo Member of Parliament Gideon Ochanda, with its Secretary, according to the paper, being Lang’ata’s Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o.

Ochanda, in an interview with the paper yesterday, almost confirmed that the caucus exists, saying that it is something that cannot be ruled out.

“We haven’t gone that direction yet. Not yet, but can’t be ruled out under the circumstances,” he said.Jalang’o denied being a member of the rebellion group, with his Uriri counterpart Mark Nyamita denying any deal between them and Ruto.

The MP said that if there is any liberation that needs to be done in the lakeside Luo Nyanza region, it will be done by ODM and not any outsider.

He maintains that his meeting with Ruto was for the sake of development for his people and was not in any way intended to undermine Raila or ODM.

“Our visit to State House was well intended, we will continue engaging different levels of government with a clear conscience on matters development. As for politics the only liberation movement we belong to is ODM,” he told the paper.

But the ODM party has refused to listen to the excuses and has began the process of punishing them, as Raila publicly brands them traitors.
