DP GACHAGUA LINKED TO 3.7BILLION KEMSA SCANDAL

The KEMSA scandal is slowly becoming a serious topic of discussion after the president fires the Health Permanent Secretary and her entire board following the misappropriation of a whooping KSH 3.7 billion that was meant for mosquito nets.

The expose came to light after the sponsor Global Fund raised alarm that there was some foreplay in the awarding of tender and that some companies were not eligible even to bid.

This raised public uproar forcing the president to act by sanding the top management home and made an immediate replacement for the same. Even as the investigations continue to unravel the mysterious people behind the scandal, today’s newspapers have reported that there was a top senior politician behind this scandal.

In Daily Nation, it revealed that over KSH 870 million was paid to several firma in a rush raising suspicion on why it had to be so. Further to that, some leaked letters which has gone viral has revealed that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s son Keith Rigathi was one of the benefitiary of the KSH 3.7 billion. In the letter Dr Keith Gachagua of Crystal Kenya benefited from the loot at the KEMSA.
