Diamond Platinumz Hospitalized

Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz shocked his fans when he took to Instagram on Saturday to reveal that he had been hospitalized in Arusha after falling ill.

The artist, known for his chart-topping hits and electrifying performances, reassured his supporters that he is on the path to recovery.

Diamond Platnumz, whose real name is Naseeb Abdul Juma, shared the news of his health ordeal through a series of Instagram Stories, updating his fans on his condition.

He disclosed that he was hospitalised due to a high fever, which had become a cause for concern.

In one of the Stories, the beloved Tanzanian crooner posted a video from his hospital bed, giving his followers a glimpse of his situation.

The footage showed Diamond lying in a hospital bed, an intravenous drip connected to him, with his attending doctor by his side.

Despite the circumstances, he remained in good spirits and expressed gratitude for the care he had received.

Diamond Platnumz wrote in his Instagram story:

“My day today started very badly in Arusha, with a high fever that led to temporary hospitalisation. I thank God. I am doing well now, and I continue to gain strength. Do not stop praying for me. May I have more strength and do well on the Wasafi Festival Show.”

In 2022, Diamond found himself spending his Christmas in a hospital bed due to what his medical team attributed to overwork and insufficient rest, resulting in his illness.

“I never allowed myself to rest properly because I was dedicated to finishing my album, which was slated for release that year. I wanted it to bring honor to Tanzania,” he explained.

“I’m responsible for nearly four companies and the livelihoods of numerous employees, so when things get tough in the business world, it takes a toll on me and can lead to illness.”

Diamond also revealed that he received advice to ensure he got at least six hours of sleep each night to prevent a recurrence of his health issues, acknowledging that he hadn’t been getting sufficient rest during the night.

He described his demanding daily routine, saying: “I had to be in the office by 10:00 am, which meant waking up at or before 8:00 am. I would remain in the office until 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm, then head to the gym for a workout until 7:00 pm or 8:00 pm, after which I would head to the studio. Sometimes, I would work until 6:00 am the next day, and this cycle continued. I was only getting minimal rest.”
