CS KAGWE REVEALS HE IS TIRED OF CURFEW, REVEALS WHEN IT WILL BE LIFTED.

Kenya Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe on October 13th revealed that just like other Kenyans, he is also tired of the new mode of operation in the country.

The cabinet secretary said that he is not thrilled by the current mode of operation. He went ahead and appreciates how Kenyans for obeying the COVID-19 guidelines.

Speaking to a local radio station, the CS stated that the government will soon ease some of the Covid-19 restrictions once the country registers a consistent diminution of positivity rates.

“I am tired too and I am a Kenyan and I want to get back to normal life but it will take a while to get back to what we call normal life because even after opening the economy, things like wearing of masks and social distancing will remain.

“However, it is our intention as a government that as soon as we have consistently stayed the positivity rate that we are in now, we will be able to make significant changes,” Kagwe said.

According to the Health CS, the country’s Covid-19 fatality rate have now dropped significantly due to the intervention the government put in place.

The CS noted that Kenyans have made a commendable strides in relation to the fight against Covid-19 .

Kagwe ascribed the drop to Kenyans adherence to Covid-19 protocols and the commitment of health workers in the battle with the contagious disease.

“When you look at our statistics, obviously there is a difference and I think that difference was brought about by the dedication and commitment of our health workers but also decisions that were made at the top leadership especially by President Uhuru Kenyatta,” he said
