Cherargei Kicked Out Of Senate

Nandi County Senator Samson Cherargei being escorted out of chamber by Sargents at arm

There was a standoff at the Senate chambers after Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei defied orders issued by the Speaker forcing him to be sent out.

Cherargei was breathing fire after Kilifi SenatorStewart Madzayo referred to him as a ‘kid’ during his submission.

Immediately Cherargei demanded an apology from Madzayo, shouting in the chambers, even as he was being requested to sit down by Speaker Amason Kingi.

He was protesting to have the Madzayo withdraw the statement.

After several requests by Kingi to sit down and let the House proceed, Cherargei insisted on putting out his request, as he felt that he was disrespected.

“If you do not sit down and keep quiet, I will be forced to get you out of the chambers,” Speaker was heard saying.
