SHOCKING DETAILS ON HOW AGNES TIROP’S HUSBAND PLANNED HER DEATH.

Details have now emerged revealing that the arrested lover of murdered athlete, Agnes Tirop, had manipulated her to register all her wealth under his name.

Emmanuel Ibrahim Rotich, the prime suspect who was nabbed in Changamwe, Mombasa County on Thursday, October 14, as he tried to flee the country, had successfully convinced Tirop to attach all her hard-earned estates under his name.

According to the family, Tirop had amassed wealth gained from the proceeds of her athletic career. She had bought a piece of land that was registered under the apprehended lover’s name.

Apart from owning prime pieces of land, Tirop was also in the process of starting a poultry farming business. The project was actually almost done.

Other than that, Tirop was also sponsoring several kids in the area with their education. She was just generous according to testimonies from the residents in her home area.

But one thing that her family regrets is that she was allegedly brainwashed by her lover to an extent that she could not make her decisions independently.

The mourning family wants Rotich forced to surrender all the wealth acquired by their daughter. They reported that Tirop kept contact with the lover despite all the red flags.

The athlete’s father, Mzee Vincent Tirop, said his daughter was a victim of physical abuse from her partner and called for speedy justice.

He even revealed that Rotich convinced Tirop to drop out of school in Form Three, going against the family’s expectations. After doing so, the father narrated that he eloped with her daughter for over six months.

“Let it be known that my daughter was never married to the suspect. I have never met his parents or even received any dowry. What I know is my child was forced to drop out of her studies while in Form Three. The suspect had me arrested together with my wife when he eloped with my daughter for over six months,” he stated.

Her brother also revealed that Tirop had confided to him that she was in an abusive relationship but she, however, stated that she opened up too late.

“My sister had confided in me that her husband was abusing her but she opened up too late. I was shocked when she said she would be visiting home every weekend after returning from Olympics, she had not been home for long. The day she landed home (from Tokyo, Japan) she was beaten overnight and had a swollen face the following day,” she recounted.

This comes as DCI already released a statement stating that Rotich was arrested while trying to flee from the country.

“The suspect is currently being grilled by detectives at Changamwe police station, for more details into the murder before being arraigned to answer to murder charges,” read an excerpt of the DCI statement.
