SALARY OF CBC TEACHERS PER MONTH

The CBC Competency Based Curriculum program is the 2-6-3-3 system of education in Kenya was unveiled in 2017 to replace the 8-4-4 system of education which has served Kenya for 32 years. The CBC is divided into three major Levels.

Early years education, Middle school education, Senior school, tertiary, and university education.

Unlike in the past when learners were graded using marks, the Competency Based Curriculum system uses a different approach to monitor learner capabilities. Lower primary pupils complete tasks individually and in groups to demonstrate their strengths and abilities.

The CBC teachers do a lot of work, to nature skills into young generation. In my opinion, they deserve to be paid handsomely.

Their monthly basic salary for the lowest-paid teacher (Grade B5) would be raised from 21,756KES to a maximum of ksh 87,024 while salaries of the highest-paid teachers (Grade D5) would be raised from 131,380KES to a maximum of 394,140 Kenyan shillings.
