Oparanya Loses KSH 2Million

The ODM deputy party leader, hon Wycliffe Oparanya who is also the former governor of Kakamega county as well as a close ally to Raila Odinga has today been handed a huge blow.

This came in after reports emerged on a new announcment that has been made by the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission, EACC.

As seen from one source, this commision has announced that they are not going to return shs 2m that they took from the former governor during a raid on his residence in Karen and Kakamega county. According to EACC, they are not sure of the source of this money and thus they will not give it to Oparanya

This will be a big blow to Oparanya who had gone to court seeking for the release of some items taken during his arrest where the court ruled on his favour by directing EACC to release all the irrelevant items to Oparanya.
