Martha Karua and Kioni Splits From Azimio
Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Deputy Party Leader, Hon. Martha Karua, together with the embattled Jubilee Secretary General, Hon. Jeremiah Kioni, might be making their way out of the giant opposition coalition.
This is after they unveiled a new political forum that has promised to champion the welfare of Kenyans away from Azimio.
According to NTV Kenya news, Hon. Karua and Kioni have initiated a new political leadership forum known as KAMENE that will fight the ruthless leadership of the Kenya Kwanza government.
In the news, Hon. Kioni is quoted as warning the bipartisan team from Azimio’s side, asking them to stop the dialogue and allow the country to take a different direction. Kioni is heard telling his accomplices, Hon. Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka, that the time for them to form a new political forum has come.
“As much as we remain committed to finding a lasting solution for our country, the Kenya Kwanza regime has left Kenyans on their own. Our brothers in Azimio are still engaging in a useless dialogue that may not find a lasting solution.
I and my sister Martha have initiated a new leadership forum known as KAMENE that will carry our serious conversations to take the Kenya Kwanza regime into the task,” Jeremiah Kioni is captured speaking to the media as shown on NTV Kenya news.
In a rejoinder, Hon. Martha Karua informed Kenyans that the new political outfit will seek to ensure all Kenyans are brought on board to realize their say in the country’s politics.
“We aren’t talking about this on behalf of Azimio, but in case we are sharing special information about KAMENE, a leadership forum for us Kenyans, This forum will fight hard to ensure this unworthy regime listens to the people,” Hon. Martha Karua remarked, as also quoted by NTV Kenya.
