Major Changes on Bipartisan Talks After Today’s Meeting
The Joint Bipartisan Talks Committee between the Azimio La Umoja One-Kenya coalition and Kenya Kwanza camp has now unveiled major deliberations after today’s consultative meeting.
In a statement signed by both the Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Monday, August 14, both camps have named the official technical teams.
In Azimio, Jubilee party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, Adams Oloo, Zein Abubakar and Lynn Ngugi have been approved to be the technical team. On the other hand, Kenya Kwanza’s Muthomi Thiankolu, Linda Musumba, Nick Biketi and Duncan Ojwang have been also approved for the same role.
Further, the two camps have now agreed that the Parliamentary leadership of both the National Assembly and the Senate shall process a motion to legally establish the dialogue team.
The National Assembly is expected to process the leadership before or by the end of this week. On the other flip side, the Senate shall be directed on a date that’ll be issued later.
On that regard, the teams have scheduled to meet once again on Monday, 21st of August, 2023.
