JUNET FINALLY MAKES STATEMENT ON DUMPING RAILA

Suna East MP Junet Mohammed on Friday made his first appearance at an Azimio rally since the outfit’s leader Raila Odinga lost the election.

Raila on Friday took the mass action rally to Migori county as he prepares his supporters for the onset of defiance protests on March 20 in Nairobi.

Junet has been missing in action at all of Azimio public barazas at Jamuhuri and Jacaranda grounds and Kibra in Nairobi, Kisii, Kakamega, Kisumu and Kitale.

“Sijaongea kwa muda wacha leo niseme yote. Wacha niongee watu wote wajue ya kwamba Migori yote imenguruma,” Junet said when he stood to speak.

(I haven’t spoken for long so let me say it all today. Let me speak so that all the people can know Migori has roared)

The lawmaker claimed there is a plot by the Kenya Kwanza government to reward the immediate former IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati with an appointment as an appellate judge.

He claimed MPs from the ruling coalition on Thursday tabled a Miscellaneous Amendment Bill which seeks to increase the number of judges from 30 to 70.

“I asked them, who is this with so many cases? They told me since Chebukati announced their results, they want to make him Court of Appeal judge,” he said.

“They have brought a Bill in Parliament to increase the number of judges of the Appeal court just so one person called Chebukati can get a slot,” he added.

The MP reaffirmed Azimio’s stance that the August 9 polls were rigged saying they won’t allow those involved in the alleged crime to be judges.
