Sherlyne Anyango, a former media personality turned socialite, has disclosed the reason behind her broken engagement with her American lover. She said that her fiancé’s family did a background check on her online and found out about her scandalous past.

They advised their son to call off the wedding because they saw many ‘red flags’ in her online history.

“The main thing that broke me was when I was about to get married. The family decided to Google my name, and everything was about Xtian Dela, all the things I used to do as a 19-year-old. The white guy liked me a lot but the family was like this is a red flag and told their son not to marry me,” she said in an interview.

She added that she regrets some of the things she did when she was younger, such as posting nude videos of herself on Club Covid, a show hosted by Xtian Dela. She said that she did not listen to her family when they warned her about the consequences of her actions.

“By me regretting, it doesn’t mean that I’m not ok right now. I’m very ok. Life has not been hard on me. Now that my brain thinks differently like I have outgrown the things I used to do,” she said.

Sherlyne, who is back in Kenya after living in the US with her ex-fiancé, said that she is now focusing on her music career. She said that she has recorded six songs and is ready to release them soon.

“I have recorded six more songs that I am about to release. Feel free to call me an artist,” Sherlyne said.
