BIG FIGHT IN RAILA’S AZIMIO CAMP

City lawyer Donald Kipkorir, a member of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s legal circle, has demanded the ouster of four campaign team members.

Kipkorir said Suna East member of parliament Junet Mohamed and Raila’s chief agent Saitabao Ole Kanchory should resign from Raila’s Campaign Secretariat.

He also named Elizabeth Meyo (campaign chief executive officer) and Information Technology expert George Njoroge as other members who allegedly bungled Raila’s campaigns.

“Before Monday, September 5, the following have to resign from being part of Baba’s Campaign Team:

Elizabeth Meyo, George Njoroge, Junet Mohammed and Saitabao Ole Kanchory. We will rebuild Baba’s Campaign Secretariat afresh & with true & honest soldiers,” Kipkorir tweeted.

Junet Mohamed’s loud silence
Junet was a vocal foot soldier in Raila’s camp before the August 9 General Election. He often accompanied the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader on the campaign trail.

The lawmaker was a common figure in Azimio’s rallies and even took charge as master of ceremony.

However, he has been missing in action since Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati declared that Raila emerged second in the tight 2022 presidential race.

When the perennial presidential candidate presented his evidence to the Supreme Court alleging his victory was stolen, the MP was consciously missing.
