REST IN PEACE: 2 SCHOOL BUS FULL OF STUDENTS COLLIDE
Residents near the accident scene rushed to rescue victims in the two vehicles, with police officers arriving to assess the situation.
Additionally, welders were at the scene to cut through parts of the car to rescue the victims.
From the photos seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the buses collided on the side causing the windows to shatter and the front parts damaged.
Emergency service providers rushed the injured to nearby hospitals where first aid was administered.
The dead body was ferried to a nearby morgue.
According to one of the residents, they heard noises, and 10 minutes later the buses collided prompting them to rush to the scene of the accident.
“We rushed and rescued the students from the bus and took those who were severely injured to the hospital,” the resident stated.
It was reported that the deceased was the manager of one of the schools who died on the spot.
“At around 6 am in the morning, we came here trying to save the students. The two buses were taking the students to school,” another resident recounted.
