WOMAN CAUGHT SLEEPING WITH A MAD MAN

A woman who was desperate to conceive has narrated the trouble she went through in her attempt to give her husband a child. Rose Makumi from Murang’a county said as soon as she got married to her husband, pressure started streaming in especially from the in-laws who demanded grandchildren.

“Literally two weeks after my husband and I had our wedding, we started receiving calls from our in-laws demanding to know if I had conceived. His mother was particularly tough on us and she said we had to give her grand kids as she was already old,” the woman narrated.

However, unlike other women who could conceive in the snap of a finger, Rose was not as lucky. Weeks turned into months and months into 2 years while her and her husband were trying to get children. By this time, pressure from her in-laws was tenfold.

“I remember a day when my mother-in-law came into our house and told me that I should sleep with a mad man so that I could heal the infertility,” she recalled adding that she had to sleep with the mad man but she did not get pregnant.

After three years of marriage, her mother-in-law started demanding that Rose is chased away back to her parents’ home so that her husband could marry a fertile woman. Though her husband loved her, he bowed to the pressure from his family.

He sent her away and she heartbreakingly returned to her parents’ house.

“After arrival at my parents’ house, I told my mother what I have been going through because I could not conceive a child and this is when she told me about how I could get healed. He gave the number of Doctor Kazimoto who heals infertility,” she said.
