WHAT HAPPENED IN NYERI AT NIGHT
Several UDA bloggers have been spreading photos showing the Azimio leaders Raila Odinga and Martha Karua’s alleged reception in Nyeri County where they pitched tents to sell their manifestos and woo voters ahead of the 9th August General Election.
However, after a sizeable umber of Kenyans turned up in Nyeri Town, they changed the tune claiming that Azimio allies ferried the people who came to welcome Raila and Karua. This has elicited a hot online debate with Azimio allies defending their side.
One of the UDA digital strategist Nikkitah Nyambura has taken to her Facebook page alleging that the Nyeri Town Mp was paying those who attended the rally 300 shillings.
“Kimbieni pale Nyeri masaaa ya Ngunjiri Wambugu kulipa watu imefika don’t miss your 300 it’s enough to buy unga,” she advised.
She also shared a video to back her claims whereby some people were seen on the footage overcrowded at night probably queuing up to receive their pay. This has elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans from different sides of the political divide.
