UHURU KENYATTA TO VIE FOR PRESIDENCY IN 2027
Former Statehouse Controller of Budget Hon Franklin Bett has this morning presented another headache to President William Ruto after stating that the former president Uhuru Kenyatta could be contemplating on vying for the President in the near future now that the law isn’t clear on whether an Head of state should retire forever.
Speaking to the Sunday standard, the veteran Leader said President William Ruto and his men should start to worry if the latest happenings in the former Ruling Jubilee Party is anything to go by.
He has also alleged that Uhuru’s involvement in the fight to control the Jubilee Party could be one of his initial signals of telling his nemesis he is going nowhere.
“He can stay away one term or two terms and then contest because there is nowhere in law where it says a former president cannot come back again and contest for the presidency,” adds Bett.
