Uhuru Breaks Silence With a Surprising Message
Some few minutes ago, the former president of this country, hon Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta came out to issue a statement after reports emerged on an increased civilian killings in the Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC.
As reported by the KTN News, Uhuru Kenyatta who was speaking in his capacity as the AU peace facilitator in East Africa has condemned these killings.
Uhuru on his statement called for an immediate cessation of hostilities. He also called upon the fighting parties to give them a chance to solve the DRC issues through a dialogue.
“Former President Uhuru condemns escalation of killings in eastern DRC, calls for immediate cessation of hostilities and urges players to give EAC-led Nairobi peace process a chance.” Said the reports.
Uhuru Kenyatta was appointed to lead peace talks in DRC and Ethiopia by president William Ruto immediately after he was sworned-in as the president of this country on september last year.
