SUSAN KIHIKA TO JOIN RAILA’S DEMOS TOMORROW
In a surprising turn of events, Governor Susan Kihika’s announcement to join Azimio One Kenya during a protest at the Nakuru meeting triggered a burst of laughter among the attendees.
However, she quickly clarified that her protest would diverge from Azimio’s agenda, focusing instead on addressing the dire state of the health sector.
Kihika specifically referred to Azimio’s recent call for a public rally at Kamukunji in Nairobi. Seemingly mocking the purpose of Azimio’s protest, she urged them to prioritize pressing issues such as healthcare in their demonstrations.
The governor’s comments were made during a meeting where she gratefully received a substantial sum of 44 million from the USAID Kenya Tujenge Jamii Project. She expressed her delight, emphasizing that this support would greatly empower the county’s healthcare system.
Furthermore, in this gathering, Governor Kihika went on to sign a significant sub-award agreement with Bernadette Wahogo, Director at Deloitte. This partnership aimed to provide substantial support to strengthen the county’s health system.
“The funding will strengthen health systems, ensuring access to quality TB/HIV, reproductive health, nutrition, and WASH services in the county,” the governor said.
