RAILA CLOSE ALLY SIDES WITH RUTO.

Azimio La Umoja -One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga’s most trusted MP and Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo has now taken sides with the head of state President William Ruto over the stoppage of the increment of salaries of the President, his deputy, MPs and other high ranking government officials, coming only few days to the mass protests organised by Azimio La Umoja -One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga on 7th July 2023.

“On Salaries increase for higher cadre state officers, including MPs, I agree with William Ruto’s stoppage of the increments. The SRC must be living in mass!” Otiende Amollo wrote.

Ruto while speaking at KICC yesterday during the launch of government digitalised services, directed that SRC increase the salaries of other government civil servants including teachers, doctors by 7 to 10% while putting a stop to the SRC plans to increase the salaries of the President and other high ranking government officials by 14%.

This comes at a time when Azimio La Umoja -One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga and other Azimio principals are preparing to lead demos on Saba Saba day to compel Ruto to forgo the Finance Act 2023. It should be noted that the court had put temporarily suspended the Finance Act until a case filed by Okiya Omtatah is heard .
