PRIVATE DETECTIVE JANE MUGO FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE IN HOSPITAL

Police are investigating an incident in which a woman was allegedly abducted by unknown six gunmen who dumped her two colleagues in a forest before making away with her motor vehicle.

Jane Mugo, was in the company of Newton Mkoyanzi who was driving the car and Gerishon Oliver, 26, who was seated on the rear seat. They were heading to Kisumu County from Bungoma County.

In a police report filed at Eldama Ravine Police Station in Baringo County and seen by this reporter, it has been revealed that the trio are workmates who had attended a meeting in Bungoma.

“It has been reported by Olive who is a Luo male adult aged 26 years old and Newton Mkoyanzi a luhya male adult aged 34 that they were on board a motor vehicle of registration number KCN 222K Toyota Land Cruiser TX belonging to one Jane Mugo,” the report read in part.

Mkoyanzi was the man on the wheel when they were stopped by three motor vehicles whose registration numbers were not captured.

It is then that six men alighted from the three vehicles all armed with Ak-47 rifles and fired two shots; one on the air and one bullet hitting the motor vehicle they were in.

The six suspects who are yet to be identified then blind-folded the three as they assaulted them and caned them with sticks.

“Gerishon Oliver sustained a fracture on the right leg below the knee while Newton Mkoyanzi sustained injuries on his body. They were robbed of the motor vehicle and their mobile phones,” the report further read.

The three were then bungled into

the three vehicles in which the gunmen were and driven to an unknown destination.

The report further revealed that along the way, they were all forced to drink unknown substance before the two men namely; Oliver and Mkoyanzi were dumped at Narasha forest within Tinet area in Koibatek, Baringo County.

According to the report, the gunmen then drove Mugo to unknown destination.

However, the two men were rescued by a Good Samaritan who drove them to Torongo Health Center for treatment.

“The nurse on duty called police officers from Torongo police post who reported the same to the OCS Eldama Ravine police station,” the report read.

The two victims were later referred to Eldama Ravine Sub- County Hospital where they are admitted in a fair condition.

K24 Digital has established that Mugo later managed to escape but she is currently admitted in a hospital in Eldoret town after she sustained injuries.

Her vehicle has also been found in Mumias, Kakamega County.
