List of Azimio Leaders Arrested During Saba Saba Rally.

Azimio la Umoja is set to hold a rally at the Kamukunji Grounds to commemorate Saba Saba Day.

The Friday, July 8 rally is expected to culminate in nationwide protests to pressure President William Ruto’s government to repeal some sections of the Finance Act 2023.

Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio la Umoja, is expected to address the rally and discuss the rising cost of living and other pressing issues.

The opposition also plans to collect signatures to coerce the government to give in to its demands.

Police in Nairobi have arrested several protestor who were engaging in the ongoing Demonstrations after the former prime minister of Kenya who is also the Presidential candidate of the AZIMIO la Umoja Coalition, Honorable Raila Odinga urged Kenyans to come out in large numbers, support AZIMIO Demonstrations against the government.

The former premier, therefore, urged citizens to back his move to stand against what he termed as ‘dictatorship’ and reject newly imposed taxes which he said have made the lives of Kenyans unbearable.
