LIST OF 11 INDIVIDUALS RUTO IS SET TO APPOINT TO LUCRATIVE POSITIONS
In January, President William Ruto Appointed seven members to the Selection panel tasked with recruitment of a new member of the National Police Service Commission.
The members appointed were; Mr. Arthur Osiya to represent the Executive Office of the President, Dr. Joyce Nyabuti for the Public Service Commission Mr. Gilbert Mutembei an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya representing legal team, Dr. Monica Muiru for Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
Others were; Dr. Raymond Nyeris for Kenya National Commission for Human Rights, Dr. Joyce Mutinda for National Gender and Equality Commission, and Mbeti Mchuki for the Professional Societies of East Africa.
The team embarked on the process and invited for applications from qualified individuals. Out of those who applied for the position, the team has come up with 11 individuals as those shortlisted for the position and has scheduled interviews for the same.
They are; Micharl Goa from Homabay county, Dr Annette M Mbogah, Edwin K Cheluget, Beatrice Meso, and Dennis Kivuti Muingai. The five will be interviewed on 20th March 2023.
Others who were shortlisted were; Mercy Kanyara Smith, Long’et K Terer, Beth K Michoma, Prof Morris K Mbindenyi, Mercy W Mathai, and James K Sitienei. They will be interviewed on 21st March 2023.
The panel has asked Kenyans with complaints to raise them through sworn affidavit and submit to the panel through the process indicated below.
The National Police Service Commission has 9 members and is Mandated to Recruit and appoint persons to hold or act in office in the police service, confirm appointments and determine promotions and transfers within the National Police Service.
Other functions include; Observing due process, exercise disciplinary control over and remove persons holding or acting in offices within the service and to Perform any other functions as prescribed by the national legislation.
