Renowned journalist, Larry Madowo is in deep mourning after losing his grandmother of ninety six years old.

The journalist shared this heartbreaking news on his social media platform, revealing to his followers that his grandmother Francesca Madowo is dead.

Just a few months ago Larry shared how heartbroken he was after learning that her grandmother of 96 years contracted the deadly virus, Covid-19. The celebrity on July took a break from his normal duty to take care of his loving grand mother.

“I always fear that they’re ringing to say that my grandmother has died. She has been on a ventilator for four weeks and my anxiety is near breaking point,” he said.

During the time, Larry’s grandmother was among hundreds of millions in the developing world who had not been vaccinated.

“By the time my grandmother got vaccinated by local officials it was already too late as she had been infected by Covid-19,” he said adding that she outlived her husband by more than 25 years.

On his social media platforms, Larry opened up on how heartbroken he is:

“I am numb, my chest has been ripped from my chest. Light has gone out of my life. Nind gi owe min omollo”.
